I've actually had the opportunity to live for a few weeks in such a neighborhood. The experience was amazing. These neighborhood houses usually have a central garden, and the number limited of living quarters is reduced, most of the time to under 15-20 families. These families form a small community. They all know each other, and form relationships based on trust and co-operation for the betterment of their small neighborhood. It reminds me of the clairlea gardens project from Georgian Group. The desing of the homes is similar, and the prices are quite acceptable. Might even buy a flat there once it's finished.
