Development Officer Position with TACH
The Tasmanian Association of Community Houses Inc (TACH) is peak body for the 34 funded Neighbourhood Houses throughout Tasmania. Neighbourhood Houses are locally run and managed grass roots community development organisations bringing local people together to strengthen their community.
If you’re looking for a varied role where in one day you might be providing support to our Member organisations by: answering a question on governance issues, producing a newsletter, planning a conference, developing a state-wide workforce development plan, updating our website or researching a social policy issue – then this job is for you.
We are looking for a person who can handle all of this, and has good understanding of grass-roots community development.
The position is Hobart-based for 22.5 hours a week and is paid at Level 6 CSA (NAPSA).
You can download a copy of the Position Package here, including the selection criteria to which applicants must respond in writing. Alternatively, contact TACH on 62286515 or by email tach@tach.asn.au for a copy of the Position Package.
Applications close at 5.00 pm on Friday the 2nd of December, 2011.
TACH is funded by the Dept. of Health and Human Services
Volunteering Opportunities
Neighbourhood and Community Houses are volunteer organisations and are always looking for new volunteers who might like to be involved in all kinds of projects and work within a Centre or local community.
Volunteering is a great way to learn new skills, make new friends and have fun.
Check with your local centre for volunteer opportunities or contact TACH for more information.
